BLASTING ACCESSORIES

For a blasting group it is very important to have the necessary and proper equipment for the job. Accessories that a blasting team must have with them are: Measuring tool (Ohmmeter), blasting device (Magneto), detonator pliers, connecting and line cables, insulation tape, tape measure, tamping stick, punching pin, mirror, flashlight and other materials.
The accessories that the group of blasters will use must be produced only for this purpose and must be of a high quality. Accessories that are not suitable for blasting operations should not be used.

BLASTING DEVICES (magneto)

Magnetos: Ignition tools are used to initiate the blasting round and/or detonators. Such tools should be of highest quality to minimize the risk of accidental initiation of detonators or blasting rounds. Magnetos are produced by different companies and with different specifications. Care must be taken that the manufacturing firms are recognized legally, their quality is recognized, and their periodic controls are carried out on time.

Blasting Rules: In the blasting round, same type of electrical detonators should be used. In the blasting group, the parallel and series connections must also be of the same resistance range with 5% tolerance.

LINE/CIRCUIT CONTROL DEVICES (OHMMETER)

Users call it as an ohmmeter. It must be specially manufactured for use in the blasting operations and shall be used for the control of the blasting circuit. Standard electrician’s ohmmeters should not be used for control of blasting round circuits. Since electrician ohmmeters give considerable amount of current to the round for measurement there is a high risk of unwanted initiation of blasting round. Therefore, it is mandatory to use equipment specially produced for this job for measurement.

VIBROMETERS (SEISMIC MEASUREMENTS DEVICES)

Nowadays, it is of particular importance that the work carried out in mines as well as excavation work is kept under control so that seismic vibrations do not affect the environment around us.

With seismic measurement equipment in our inventory, we make it possible to measure and control ground vibrations, air blast (shock wave) of blasting and minimize the impact on the environment.

The equipment for seismic measurement performs the analysis of side effects according to frequency, velocity and acceleration and enables the appropriate data for the review of the blasting projects for the improvement of side effects by comparing the results with internationally recognized standards such as OSMR, USBM and DIN4150.

CONNECTING AND LINE CABLES

It is used to connect electrical detonators to each other in a blasting group. It has a low resistance and is well insulated. Using high resistance cables, reduces the effective (useful) capacity of the magneto. Cables previously used that are stripped and damaged should not be used. The same connecting cable should not be used twice.
